Cards that I've made so far.-Rosette Love Themed. (For sale)

I've decided to post up some pictures of cards that I've made this year. There's not many of them though, but its been a pleasure to do so. I've always carried a passion of tinkering with various materials and coming up with all kinds of ideas for cards. I know there are some who have scoffed at my creativity and compared it to others who I admit are way more creative than mine. But thats okay, I still love making cards and giving them to people. Its my way of spreading love.

So currently there are three different designs that I've created this year. Please do not copy any of the designs. They are copyrighted under me. In fact, I will get really damn pissed with you if you do so. I took hours and days to create each card. And I spent money on them too. And each card is created by me myself and I. If you do not like it or have any offending comment, keep it to yourself. Its my blog, my creativity and I can do any damn thing I wish :) It may not be as pretty as some others, but I am happy with it.

Each card is basically a remake of the same material, but in different colors. I used cards with roses imprinted on it (which you can find in any shop). On the downside, each card carries a smelly heavy scent. >.<
Valentine Theme
The front, heart pearls
The inside
The middle

This card is inspired by Valentine Day. There is another corner with egg beater yellow and a heart attached it for notes purposes. However, due to time constraint, I did not managed to take a picture of it. I created this card somewhere before Valentine Day, and its the baby and the inspiration to the other cards. And sorry about the ugly photos. I didn't managed to capture it clearly.

The next card is my favorite.
Peach Candy Love Letters
The front
The inside
The envelope

This card had a wedding theme to it. I made this for a friend and was inspired by her dress that she wore for a ball. It turned out nicely, that I made another one for my friend's wedding. However that card, had a little edit-ting to it. Each card I make may have a certain theme to it, but an added feature will be introduced it. For instance for my friend's wedding, I edited it a little. but sorry didn't managed to capture it.

The next card was made to two people I know who shared the same birthday. Instead of the usual envelopes that I've been using for those two cards, this card has a birthday cake, decorated with little jewels (or bling blings)
Purple Rose Heart Theme
The front
The inside

There you have it.
Each design is centered around one theme, Roses and Love. They are 3-D. And they are available for sale if you are interested.
You can opt for the customization, but the price shall be agreed upon by me. However please let me know in advance before you do :) cheers

Sticky Handmade Sweets and Vivo pizzas.

I was randomly walking along One Utama today with Valen when I saw a bunch of people in this pink shop. Naturally my instinct got the best of me. It also happened to be a shop that was newly opened. And there were a bunch of congratulatory flowers dedicated to them. I wanted to see what the big hoo-ha was about. And much to my surprise it was none other than Sticky Traditional Homemade rock candies.

Caleb first sent sent a huge (and I mean huge) packet of handmade rock candies at Sarah's request. And she distributed it in round plastic containers for me and a bunch of his cousins. It was love at first sight for all of us. There were a lot of assorted fruit flavors and each rock candy was made to look like a fruit or hearts or words. I heard that you can even customize your own rock candy.

Sticky Traditional Homemade Sweets store is famous for their candies. I like the atmosphere of the shop. (Too bad I had no pictures though). There were rows and rows of assorted candies. And there was a even an open space glass space near the cashier where the candy-makers demonstrated on how to make candies. It was so damn cool! Oh and they were distributing free samples too. Good advertising gimmick.

Since Sticky was originated in Australia, naturally the owners of the shop were Caucasians. But of course there were Asians working for them too.

I couldn't help but but to buy a bottle :) Oh yeah I forgot to mention that the candies were sold in cute glass jars! I bought the large one for RM 18.90. The small one cost about RM 12.90. If you see the amount of strength demonstrated by the workers on how to make candies, you'd think that the price was definitely worth the amount of strength spent. They had lollipops and other sweets as well.
Here's my assorted fruit flavor.

There's the cherry, the passion fruit, the watermelon, orange, lemon...yadayadayada. I like the passion fruit and the Strawberry heart not to mention lemon the best!
Just so you know the culprit who finished half the box of the candies that Caleb sent was none other than my dear ol' dad. It was that good okay.

And I know this is an irrelevant post. But I've already taken pictures of it. So I thought I might as well post it up on my blog. Valen and I first decided to try out the Vivo and Panini that was newly opened in Aeon. (Valen was pretty broke you see). At first we were in search of some cheap food. Well Vivo and Panini wasn't exactly cheap but they were having a promotion because they newly opened in Aeon.
For instance, if your bill came up to RM 40, they will give you a complimentary glass of blended chocolate drink.
Honestly, I don't know what is so great about this drink, but I did like the whipped cream and the marshmallows. It was huge.
Vivo and Panini definitely out beat Pizza Hut and Pappa John's (However I do still like Pappa Johns). I don't know about you but I really liked the pizzas. I even liked their Hawaiian Pizza and I'm not really a huge fan of Hawaiian Pizzas. Their thin and crispy crust was made in such a way that it wasn't too thick or too thin. Yet it was still crunchy.
And I liked their seafood pizza as well. They gave generous amounts of toppings as well. For instance there were huge chunks of salmon and dory fishes, not to mention fresh shrimps and mussels. And each seafood was topped with good old fashioned barbecue sauce.

Basically that about sums out the first week of the holidays. Enjoy

This is going to be a really long post. Just to let you guys know that the Tea Party is going to be on. Can't wait :) I will send you guys the official final e-invitation soon. And for those of you who I invited and asked to bring along a friend, please let me know if they are attending thank you :)

And to those of you who have voted for me for the first round (Modelle Magazine), thank you. I really appreciate it. The poll has already closed for the time being and it will be resumed tomorrow. However, that depends on whether or not I am eliminated. That's right folks, I will let you guys know whether I am eliminated or not today.

I didn't think that I managed to secure enough votes. But to those of you who did vote for me whole-heartedly, let me tell you I really really appreciate it :) Will update you guys later *fingers crossed*

Anyway, I would like to update a little on the Halloween Party I attended on the 31st of October. Wan Juin had her farewell/father's birthday/Halloween party on that day. She bugged us all to get a costume. Since it was also the day after my final paper, I did not know what to wear. So I decided to take the easy way out by bringing along my tiara (it always comes in handy no?) and then headed over to Wan Juin's party.
Here is a group shot of us who attended. MZ the 15th year old schoolgirl, U Zhing the evil witch of the West, Su Jun (the uncostumed), E Jen the reddevil, Wan Juin the failed vampire turned Wizard, Shannon the Princess (later she was dethroned by the Dark Princess), Valen the skinny Mr. Potato (or was he a cowboy), Sheng Giap the Mad Scientist/Doctor and Suba the Joker gone wrong.
If you are wondering why I haven't had on my Tiara, its because I was dethroned remember.
My beginning hours as a princess. Su Jun the uncostumed.
Suba-bababa-Joker gone wrong.
Mad Scientist and Joker
Mad Scientist/Doctor/ and Nerdy Princess
Mr.Potato and Mad Scientist. Mad Scientist was checking his pocket to see whether his rubber white mice was still intact.
Status: Check.
15 year old school girl, Mr. Potato and Mad Scientist.

In case you didn't know, the pictures above were taken in Sheng Giap's room. Sheng Giap lived opposite of Wan Juin. Thus they decided to invade his room for some make up before heading over to Wan Juin's.
Now we are in Wan Juin's room.
Sheng Giap decided to pursue his craziness by getting May Zhee to swallow that mice and to be choked by it

Now here is the part where I told you I was dethroned. Apparently U Zhing managed to find this tutu (I think it was her sister's) and I caught hold of Suba and made her wear it. SHE SUITED IT PERFECTLY! It wasn't easy getting her to wear it. A bunch of us had to ambush and tie it around her.
We even managed to get rid of her gypsy skirt. And I was stuck with her joker hat...
Wan Juin the vampire turned wizard.
Shannon the innocent little chic.
I love this picture of Suba. From afar she actually looks like she has don on rabbit's ears. hehehehe. Too bad we had no rabbit's ear and a little round bunny tail to attach it to her tutu :) She would have looked so cute :)
Finally my tiara was back to where it belonged.
Me attempting to scare Suba with the Red Devil's triton.
The original princess and the red devil.

The princess-turned joker-turned teacher and the red devil.
The Dark Princess emerges once again with the Red Devil.
The Fifteen year old school girl, the dark princess, the red devil and the Witch who seems to have some problem with her back hehehhe kidding.

Now I decided to crash. There's nothing that brightens up the day like a joker does.
The Dark Princess, the Nerdy Joker and the Red Devil.
The Dark Princess, The Messy Hair and Elvina.

Us with our costumes and Elvina.
Valen the Nerdy Joker.
We took this with a bunch of Wan Juin's Taylor's classmates.

I decided to skip the rest of the photos and not give it a caption because I'm dead lazy. Anyway this is my favorite picture. It was taken by UZhing. ahhahhahah

Hope you enjoy gd day

Friends with Benefits and an INVITE to the Clinique Tea Party. Read on

I never really posted this up and I know you are all tired of hearing me asked for VOTES, but please please please do vote for me, because I do not want to be kicked out so soon! I know most of you probably did not vote for me for the kitschen thing, but I really really do want to be voted in for this.

Do me a favor and type MODV SHN and send it to 36660.

I do noticed something recently. I'm tired of being around hypocritical friends. Friends who pretends to be closed to you just so they could BENEFIT from you. On an ordinary day, they wouldn't just simply take up the phone and call you. However when they are interested in something, wow suddenly they get all geared up and pursues you so that they could get whatever they want from you. I'm tired of these bitches/leeches/bloodhounds/parasitic creatures.

On another random note, Valen just won a pair of Hello Kitty Clayman Crocs from MYC magazine. I followed him over to the building yesterday, and the woman recognized me from this contest that I joined recently, known as the Clinique Tea Party. The party was scheduled to be on the 26th November 2pm-5pm. However, in order to be officially declared the winner, I need to invite 20 friends to Secret Gardens, 1U.

Tea party is officially sponsored by Clinique Cosmetics themselves.

So if you are interested, please do me a favor and email me at shannon.whatever@gmail.com if you are free on that day to be part of the event. :) I will even allow you to bring along a friend :)
It will be fun fun fun!!!!
First party hosted by me and Clinique :) (If I get 20 females that is)

Once again:

Venue: The Secret Garden, 1 U (For a lavish tea party)
Time: 2-5pm
Date: 26th November 2009
Dresscode: As prim and proper as you wish :)

A day out with the Zinc :)

Let me start off with an attempt to entice you to read my latest post. For starters, Modelle's inaugural issue was out recently, and I did not have the time and energy to post up pictures of it. I had finals and I did not have my own personal copy of the magazine. Am still waiting for my complimentary issue. However, I did take a picture of it just to let you have a glimpse of my section.
Here is the featured cover. Some local celeb by the name of Hannah Lo was interviewed. Don't ask me anything about local celebs. Here is Yours Truly ugly photos. >.<>

Anyway since today marked my final exam paper for the semester, I decided to spend some time at home. I was up till three, so I figured I could get back some sleeping time. But before I went on with my lazy schedule for the day, I got a call from the Zinc aka U Zhing :). She asked me if I was interested in following her to Subang to get a costume for Wan Juin's Halloween party tomorrow. (Wan Juin happens to be my high school classmate!) and she mentioned something about getting her Metropolitan final exam paper or something similar to that. At first I was a little hesitant, but then I decided to spend some time out with her.

Initially I thought we were heading to Metropolitan. However it turned out all those final exam questions were posted online instead.

Upon reaching Subang SS15, U Zhing accidentally missed the turning that lead straight to Sunway Pyramid, and we were stuck in a traffic jam. It didn't turn out to be a total loss though, because we crapped until we finally reached Sunway.
Here is Ms. U Zhing Road Rage Tan. She utterly despises massive jams.

There we walked around, had lunch in Sushi Zanmai, crapped tried on clothes, even though we didn't buy them and even decided to take photos again for the Kitschen contest. Let me remind you again, I think I deserve to win the contest, even though I have no chance at winning. Please continue voting for me.
To be honest, I'm not really a fan of Kitschen. I just happened to find pleasure in participating in contests. Its kind of like a hobby. You never know if you might gain anything from it.
Sorry I know I'm being narcissistic. But a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do.

I did find this dress quite cute though.
You do realize that I hardly capture photos of myself and post them online in fitting rooms. However today was an exception because U Zhing and I were so bored of walking around, we decided to try on clothes.

And I tried on this lovely bejewelled halter neck in Forever 21, and I fell in love with it.
If you are interested in being this blogger's secret sponser, you can get her the top in XS, because the one I tried on S, was really really lose, I had to pull it back to make it appear as if it was fitting. It was really pretty.

It was also a bad reason to test the clothes in F21. U Zhing had a major crush on this cute little pink chiffon baby doll dress and she wanted it badly. But they did not have the Small size, so she walked around SP with a moody look.
Picture credits to the Zinc, for both the pictures :)
We had dessert in honeymoon as well. There was even one time when we went to the Mac makeup shop, and there were these counter girls dressed in tutu frock as part of their Halloween costume. We engaged in a conversation with them, and they ended up asking me to take photos of them. To which I graciously accepted.

It turned out U Zhing did not exactly get the costume she wanted. And she finally settled on for a Witch's cap in Memory Lane. I told her it was not really necessary to splurge on costumes because they were rather expensive and it is only needed for one night. I told her to come up with her own creative ideas for her costume.

We met Sheng Giap along the way with a bunch of his friends. Stayed to chat for awhile and then we went on our separate ways. It was also raining heavily in Sunway, so we stayed for awhile until finally we had to leave around 5.30. And boy we were faced with a massive jam.

I was so bored I captured these two photos. And I thought it was actually quite nice. *ahem*

By the time we reached Klang it was already 7 something. Talk about wasting time. U Zhing dropped me off at Aeon, and I met up with Valen, Joan and Teck Hock for dinner. Thanks Zhing for the lovely girly day. It was definitely very spontaneous and unplanned for.

And finally my purchase for the day. This pair of cute earrings cost me only RM 8 can you believe it? I thought it was going to be around RM 29.90++. And it was also the last pair. So cute. Couldn't resist it. :) U Zhing was like: "I shouldn't have tempted you to get it for yourself. Please sell it to me!"

I said: "Okay I sell it to you for RM 20 k :P"

Reminded me of my ballerina days. LOL
